TACK Coat

TACK Coat for highways

Weak bonding between two layers of highway asphalt is the cause of many highway pavement issues in Canada.

If Tack Coating is done poorly or not at all, the pavement asset will experience premature cracking, topdown cracking and compaction difficulty. Likewise, if the wrong materials are used at imprecise temperatures, the asset may experience premature fatigue.

TAC Ottawa offers an affordable, precise treatment for paving contractors constructing government and private assets.

TACK Coat to save thousands and improve lifespan of new asset:

If your property has a large asphalt drveway or road, the asset can be pulverized and TACK Coated before applying a newly paved surface. With this method, you can save thousands on asphalt removal and complete base reconstruction.

Ask us to evaluate your pavement to see if your asset qualifies for our procedure.

A TAC driveway or road is recommended after pulverizing but this highway construction technique can be used for re-paving with asphalt as well.
